These Terms of Use apply to the entire bridge-training.com website, its subdomains — including app.bridge-training.com — and any current or future application interfaces and web or mobile applications operated by Bridge for Good SAS (the “Site”).
The Site’s main purpose is the creation, sharing, distribution and use of educational content relating to the game of bridge. It may also provide management tools, educational monitoring tools, usage analysis and Paid Services.
Access to part of the Site is free of charge. Certain features may be reserved for Account Holders or offered as part of a subscription, option or paid service. Purchases are governed by the Terms and Conditions of Sale (“Terms and Conditions of Sale”).

Article 1 – Definitions
- Publisher: Bridge for Good SAS, a French simplified joint-stock company (société par actions simplifiée) with share capital of €12,000, registered with the Créteil Trade and Companies Register under number 929 281 012.
- Site: bridge-training.com, its subdomains, interfaces and associated applications.
- User: any person accessing the Site, whether or not they have an Account.
- Account: a registered user space providing access to restricted features. It may be used in the name of an individual or an organisation.
- Account Holder: the individual or organisation to which the Account is attached.
- Author: a User or Account Holder who creates, imports or modifies Content.
- Content: any item created, imported, stored, shared or published on the Site, including, without limitation, a bridge deal, quiz, text, educational comment, illustration, setting, document or associated item. “Bridge Content” means any Content relating to the game of bridge, its teaching, analysis or practice, including, without limitation, a deal, card distribution, auction or play sequence, quiz, exercise, correction, comment, explanation, analysis, educational text or document, and the related educational settings and metadata. Personal data, logos, trade marks, advertising or institutional visuals, and other items not intended to constitute content relating to bridge are not Bridge Content.
- Paid Service: any feature, subscription, option or content acquired for payment and additionally governed by the Terms and Conditions of Sale or specific terms.
Article 2 – Acceptance and relationship between contractual documents
Any use of the Site constitutes acceptance of these Terms of Use in the version applicable at the relevant time, together with the Legal Notice and Privacy Policy.
Where a User subscribes to a Paid Service, the Terms and Conditions of Sale and any specific terms supplement these Terms of Use. In the event of any conflict concerning a matter specifically related to the Paid Service, the specific terms shall prevail, followed by the Terms and Conditions of Sale.
Any mandatory provisions of applicable law remain applicable regardless of the provisions of the Site documents.
Article 3 – Access to the Site and Account management
The Site includes areas accessible without an Account and areas requiring sign-in. The scope of available features depends on the User’s status, the features enabled and, where applicable, the Offer subscribed to.
The Account Holder must provide accurate information and keep their contact details up to date. They must protect their login credentials and notify Bridge for Good without delay if they suspect that those credentials have been compromised.
An Account may be designated in the interface as belonging to an individual or an organisation. This designation is primarily for display and usability purposes and does not, by itself, determine the holder’s legal or tax status.
Article 4 – Advertising, advertising-free services and blocking tools
The Site may be funded, among other things, through Paid Services, advertising content and voluntary donations. Funding arrangements may change.
Certain paid Offers may remove or replace all or part of the advertising in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Sale and the description of the relevant Offer.
The use of software, browser extensions, scripts or advertising-blocking tools may impair or prevent certain Site features from operating. Bridge for Good does not guarantee the normal operation of features that depend on components blocked by the User and may technically restrict access to such features while the blocking remains active.
Article 5 – Nature of the service and role of Bridge for Good
Bridge for Good operates the technical platform and may also create or distribute its own content or content produced with partners.
For Content created by users, Bridge for Good primarily provides creation, hosting, sharing and distribution tools. Except for occasional checks or where specifically necessary, such Content is not subject to prior editorial approval.
The Author remains responsible for their Content. Bridge for Good does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, educational relevance or fitness for any particular purpose of Content created by third-party users.
The Site’s tools complement bridge teaching and practice; they do not guarantee any educational, sporting or professional result.
Article 6 – Prohibited uses and security
The User must not use the Site unlawfully, fraudulently or in any manner liable to compromise security, availability or the rights of third parties.
- attempt to access any Account, data, interface or system without authorisation;
- introduce malicious code, disrupt the Site, carry out load testing or circumvent security measures without written permission;
- use automated means to collect, extract or copy the Site on a large scale other than through features expressly provided for that purpose or with authorisation;
- circumvent applicable limitations, Quotas or billing mechanisms;
- impersonate another person or knowingly provide false information;
- use the Site to distribute content that is manifestly unrelated to its purpose or prohibited by these Terms of Use.
Article 7 – Intellectual property rights in the Site
The Site, its structure, code, features, interfaces, databases, trade marks, graphic elements and design are protected by applicable intellectual property rights and remain the property of Bridge for Good or their respective rights holders.
No rights in those elements are granted beyond the personal right to use the Site in accordance with its intended purpose and the contractual documents. Any unauthorised reproduction, extraction or exploitation is prohibited.
Article 8 – Author’s obligations
Each Author undertakes only to create, import, store, share or publish Content for which they hold the necessary rights and permissions. For all Bridge Content, this undertaking includes, in particular, the rights required to make that content available under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal licence in accordance with Article 10.
Bridge Content must have a genuine connection with bridge, its teaching, analysis or practice. Other items, such as logos, visuals or institutional or commercial documents, may only be uploaded using the features intended for that purpose and in accordance with their intended use.
In particular, it is prohibited to publish or share through the Site any Content that is unlawful, defamatory, insulting, discriminatory, hateful, pornographic, fraudulent, infringes third-party rights, or is liable unlawfully to expose Bridge for Good to liability. Bridge for Good may also remove political, religious, ideological or campaigning content that diverts the Site from its educational purpose.
The Author remains solely responsible for the Content they provide, without prejudice to Bridge for Good’s own obligations under applicable law.
Article 9 – Visibility statuses for Bridge Content
Where a visibility feature is available, the Author may assign Bridge Content a Private, Shared or Public status. These statuses relate solely to how the Bridge Content is listed and displayed in the Site’s lists, libraries and search or presentation interfaces.
- Private: the Bridge Content is listed only in the Account Holder’s lists;
- Shared: the Bridge Content may be listed in the lists or spaces of the users with whom it is shared;
- Public: the Bridge Content may be listed in the Site’s public or shared lists, libraries or spaces.
Private, Shared and Public status has no effect on the licence applying to Bridge Content. These statuses do not constitute any undertaking of confidentiality or any restriction on the reuse rights arising from the CC0 licence. Nor are they intended to guarantee that Content cannot be accessed by another technical means, in particular where a direct URL allowing access to it has been communicated.
Bridge for Good may change the technical arrangements for listing, categorising, sharing, indexing, searching or presenting Bridge Content, subject to applicable contractual and legal rights.
Article 10 – CC0 licence applicable to Bridge Content and rights in other Content
10.1 Bridge Content – CC0 1.0 Universal licence
All Bridge Content created, imported or stored on the Site by a User or Account Holder is, from the moment it is submitted to the Site and irrespective of whether its status is Private, Shared or Public, made available under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 Universal licence. The Author declares that they hold all rights necessary to make the Content available in this way. The official licence text is available at https://creativecommons.org/publicdomain/zero/1.0/.
To the fullest extent permitted by law and in accordance with CC0 1.0 Universal, Bridge Content may be copied, reproduced, modified, adapted, combined, translated, analysed, redistributed, published, made available and freely exploited, for commercial or non-commercial purposes, on any medium and for any purpose, without further permission or remuneration. This dedication is worldwide, royalty-free and irrevocable. Where certain rights cannot lawfully be waived, including certain moral rights, only the applicable mandatory provisions remain reserved and the fallback licence provided for by CC0 applies to the fullest extent permitted.
Bridge for Good may, in particular, reuse Bridge Content regardless of its visibility status in order to offer it to other Users, suggest deals, exercises or additional content, create or enrich libraries and learning pathways, produce adaptations or derivative content, analyse usage, and develop, improve, promote or exploit the Site’s features and services. A subsequent change of visibility status or deletion of the Content from the Account does not withdraw the CC0 licence already granted.
10.2 Other Content
Content that is not Bridge Content, including logos, trade marks, advertising or institutional visuals and documents unrelated to bridge educational content, is not placed under CC0 merely because it is submitted to the Site. Its rights holder retains their rights, subject to any permissions granted elsewhere.
The Author nevertheless grants Bridge for Good a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence limited to what is necessary to host, store, technically reproduce, convert, resize, reformat, display, back up and transmit such other Content in order to provide, secure, maintain and operate the requested features. Personal data is never placed under CC0 merely because it is processed on the Site and is governed by the Privacy Policy.
Article 11 – Modification, moderation and removal of Content
Textual or educational Content is, in principle, modified by its Author using the Site’s features.
Bridge for Good may nevertheless hide, make private, technically adapt, move or remove Content where this is necessary to correct an incident, comply with the law or third-party rights, enforce these Terms of Use, protect the security of the Site or implement a reasonable technical change.
Where circumstances allow and no urgent action is required, Bridge for Good will endeavour to inform the Author of any significant measure affecting their Content.
Article 12 – Retention, export and continued availability
Bridge for Good does not guarantee the indefinite availability of any URL, format, sharing link or Content. Technical developments may result in changes to addresses, formats, features or presentation methods.
Retention of Content depends, in particular, on the status of the Account, any Offer subscribed to, the rules set out in the Terms and Conditions of Sale, the Privacy Policy, legal requirements and technical necessities.
Where an export feature is provided, the User is encouraged to use it to keep local copies of Content that is particularly important to them. Unless specifically agreed otherwise, Bridge for Good does not provide an archival or evidential backup service.
Changing the visibility status, removing Bridge Content from the interface or closing the Account does not withdraw the CC0 licence attached to that Content. Bridge for Good and third parties who have obtained it may continue to use it in accordance with CC0 even if it is no longer listed in the Site’s lists or libraries.
Article 13 – Reporting and removal
Any report concerning Content may be sent to contact@bridge-training.com. To enable the report to be processed, it must identify the Content concerned precisely, state the reason for the request and, where a right is asserted, provide any useful material establishing that right or the original source.
Bridge for Good may request additional information and take any reasonable measure, including leaving the Content in place, restricting its visibility, requesting a correction, removing it, deleting it or retaining it for evidential purposes where a legal obligation so requires.
Article 14 – Third-party services and providers
The Site may rely on third-party providers, including for hosting, payments, audience measurement, advertising, messaging, videoconferencing or other technical services. Certain features may be affected by their availability or their own terms.
The presence of a link to, or integration with, a third-party service does not constitute a guarantee of its content or mean that Bridge for Good assumes that third party’s obligations.
Article 15 – Personal data
Processing of personal data in connection with the Site is described in the Privacy Policy. Users can find there, in particular, the categories of data processed, the purposes of processing, retention periods, recipients and the procedures for exercising their rights.
Where a teacher or another Account Holder enters third-party contact details, they must have a legitimate basis for doing so and inform the persons concerned where required by law.
Article 16 – Suspension and closure of an Account
Bridge for Good may suspend access to all or part of an Account in the event of a security risk, fraudulent activity, unlawful use, infringement of third-party rights, a material breach of these Terms of Use, disruption of the Site or non-payment affecting a Paid Service.
Immediate suspension is permitted in an emergency, where there is a security risk, a legal obligation or a serious breach. Where the issue can be remedied without urgency, Bridge for Good will endeavour to give the Account Holder a reasonable opportunity to remedy it before permanently closing the Account.
For a Paid Service, the financial consequences of suspension or termination are governed by the Terms and Conditions of Sale. Any mandatory statutory consumer rights remain applicable.
The Account Holder may request closure of their Account using the means provided on the Site. Cancelling a Subscription and closing an Account are separate operations.
Article 17 – Availability and development of the Site
Bridge for Good will use reasonable efforts to ensure that the Site operates properly but does not guarantee continuous availability. Maintenance, updates, incidents, security constraints or failures by service providers may cause temporary interruptions.
Bridge for Good may develop, add, modify or remove free features for technical, economic, educational, legal or security reasons. Where a change affects an ongoing Paid Service, the Terms and Conditions of Sale and applicable statutory rights govern its effects.
Article 18 – Liability
Bridge for Good is liable for its own obligations within the limits provided by law. Nothing in these Terms of Use excludes or limits any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
For free features, Bridge for Good does not guarantee that the Site will be error-free, suitable for a particular need, or that any feature or Content will remain available. The User remains responsible for their teaching choices, equipment, backups and use of the information made available.
Bridge for Good is not responsible for the accuracy or relevance of Content created by third-party users, or for the consequences of improper use of the tools, or for a malfunction caused exclusively by a third-party service, the User’s network or a blocking tool that the User has chosen to activate.
Where a User is a customer of a Paid Service, the liability provisions in the Terms and Conditions of Sale supplement this Article.
Article 19 – Changes to the Terms of Use
Bridge for Good may amend these Terms of Use to reflect changes to the Site, its services, the law, security requirements or its practices.
Changes that are purely technical or editorial, or that do not have a significant adverse effect, may take effect upon publication. Where a change materially affects an Account Holder’s rights or obligations, Bridge for Good will endeavour to inform them by an appropriate means before it takes effect.
For Paid Services, any change affecting an ongoing contract is also subject to the Terms and Conditions of Sale and applicable law.
Article 20 – Governing language
These Terms of Use may be made available in several languages to facilitate understanding. The French version is the reference version for the interpretation, performance and application of the Terms of Use, subject to any mandatory rules requiring a different outcome.
In the event of any discrepancy between the French version and a translation, the French version shall prevail to the extent permitted by law.
Article 21 – Governing law and jurisdiction
These Terms of Use are governed by French law, without depriving a consumer of any mandatory protections to which they are entitled under the rules applicable in their country of residence.
Any dispute shall fall within the jurisdiction of the courts determined under the ordinary rules of jurisdiction. Where a jurisdiction clause may validly be agreed between parties acting as traders (commerçants), the courts of Paris shall have jurisdiction.
