Bridge is one of the most beautiful mind sports.
It is certainly the richest card game.
Like chess, the basic rules are learned quickly and you can improve throughout your life.
But unlike chess, bridge is played as a team, which makes it a unique experience as you need to think together to form a formidable pair online, in clubs, or in world championships!
Essential Rules
You play with your cards at the bottom of the screen and your partner's cards across from you. The two players to your left and right form the opposing team.
- The card order is classic: Ace, King, Queen, Jack, 10... down to 2.
- The game proceeds clockwise.
- One rule to remember: if you have the suit led (♣, ♦, ♥ or ♠), you must play it.
- If you played the highest card in the suit led, you win the trick (the 4 cards played). The cards are collected and you choose the first card for the next trick.
The goal (simplified version): win as many tricks as possible for your side.
Hearts are led. Your partner has already played the Ace. You have one Heart and some Clubs left. Which card can you play?
